A Little Imagination
Imaginita was started by Wendy Sung and David Lee, siblings born in Taiwan, raised in California. After completing his business studies in social entrepreneurship in England, David moved back to Taiwan to be closer with family. Inspired by local crafts and artisans, David and Wendy collaborated to create beautiful jewelry inspired by natural stones from local jade markets, and the colorful cultures of the indigenous people of Southeast Asia.
Each piece from Imaginita is hand made. In visiting local art studios in southern Taiwan, David and Wendy found tremendous talent and skill in jewelry-making. Gathering the synergies of a talented work pool, with the resources available at various local jade markets enabled a platform for the creation of the pieces found at Imaginita.
With firm belief that every venture has social implications, David and Wendy have given back to their community. A portion of proceeds from the Imaginita collection benefit the indigenous communities of Taiwan through the Council for Indigenous Peoples. (http://www.apc.gov.tw/portal/).
